Pune is getting a new product incubation center by Nasscom and MIDC

India is getting more focus on the Startups supporting with #DigitalIndia mission and have various action plans under Stand up India – Start up India. India has also created a new definition for Startups Nasscom is setting up a product incubation center in Pune which is likely to be functional in a few weeks time.

Earlier there are other initiative from government to create incubation center viz. RiidL in Mumbai Sub urban, DaitY is also planning to offer incubation centre for startups.

Where it will be Set up ?

The proposed incubation center is to be set up in Kharadi, one of the IT hubs in the city, this incubation center is being set up in collaboration with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

Prasad Deore, regional head, Nasscom, told ET on the sidelines of the Nasscom Product Conclave, that the incubation center would be an 80-seater fully equipped set up.

What Start ups is going to receive in this incubation center ?

In this Startups would receive

  • technical support
  • access to mentors and investors through the Nasscom network,

In addition to support start up will be incubated for an initial period of six months.

Which are start ups finalized

The first set of  start ups are not yet finalized and Nasscom is currently in the process of finalising. After finalization they would be incubated at the new center.
