Google will Mentor and Fund Mobile Startup with its Innovative Service; Launches Google Accelerator in India, Brazil and Indonesia

After announcements for #GoogleForIndia ; Search giant Google has launched a new program called Google Accelerator program yesterday.

Under this Launchpad Accelerator program a new mobile startup will be provided with mentorship, training, support, and up to $50,000 in equity-free funding. The program is currently available in India, Brazil and Indonesia.

The accelerator was born out of Google’s existing Launchpad program for startups and its global series of events that launched about two-and-a-half years ago.

How to apply for the Google Accelerator ?

With this program Google plans to bring about 50 new startups into the accelerator program every year. A Google has come up with the application form for enrolling for this program if you are in India, Brazil and Indonesia. The registration for the first phase are almost completed though, you can now apply here to become part of the second class, which will begin in mid-2016. The first batch of this Launchpad Accelerator will be starting on this January 18th in Silicon Valley with its first batch of companies which are selected by Google. The enrolments are taken for the next batch which will be beginning in the second half of 2016.

What are criteria to become eligible ?

Under this Launchpad Accelerator program Google is specifically targeting companies that already have a product and are primed to scale it to the further extent.

Currently, only mobile app startups in India, Brazil, and Indonesia are eligible for selection, but the service will be soon extend to the operations to the other countries also. With the large population and large number of Android users; India is great marketplace for Mobile Startups.
